Spare a Minute...

As he was halfway through his morning jog, his mind was so much occupied. Though it was very quite outside early in the morning, his soul was so loudly shooting out unanswerable questions of the unplanned future. In far he could see a cyclist coming towards him. He hardly noticed him and was once again immersed deep into the ocean of thoughts. Before he could even realize, the cyclist was near him, the cyclist was. And as he lifted his eyes to have a look at him, the cyclist did something that made his whole day bright.

The cyclist looked at him smiled and signaled thumps up. “Wow! That was incredible” thought the jogger. After that, the pace of the jogger increased, he slowly started to smile. Suddenly he started to realize how the day around him was beautiful and the dark clouds of questions seem to calm down within him.

Yes! A smile... A genuine, beautiful, simple smile can change a lot.

We never know what the other person’s day was. Maybe they had a long day at work or a rejection at an interview or missing out a loved one and so on. We cannot go to anyone and everyone’s lives and try to make it perfect. Rather we can smile at them and give them the positivity to march towards it.

Smiling towards family and friends is good, smiling towards strangers is best but Smiling towards yourself is so much important.

Your best cheerleader is none other than you!

Now try these two simple things:

1. Smile at yourself in the mirror while brushing.

2.Smile at the first person you see in the morning.

See what difference it makes…

Keep Smiling…

Lynn

  10. I absolutely ADORE this post! I always make a point to smile all day long, at whoever I can. I've been met with a lot of comments such as "what on Earth are you so happy about?", but mostly people are pleased to be met a smile and return one back to me, which helps me keep my smile going 😊

  11. I used to be a happy go lucky kind of person but I dont like to smile anymore but yes smiling can trick the body into helping you elevate your mood because the physical act of smiling actually activates neural messaging in your brain. A simple smile can trigger the release of neural communication boosting neuropeptides as well as mood-boosting neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin.
